Job Title: Production Operator
Location: Thetford Power Station
Salary: £29,713 – £37,000 per annum (dependent on skills and experience)
Job Type: Full-time, shift-based role (24/7 operation)

Role Overview

An opportunity has arisen for a Production Operator to support the safe and efficient operation of a biomass power station. Working as part of the shift team, the role involves plant monitoring, front-line maintenance, and ensuring maximum availability and performance of the station’s operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform routine inspections and operational checks

• Operate plant and equipment in line with standard procedures

• Contribute to the effective functioning of the shift team

• Undertake front-line maintenance as per procedures

• Investigate and assist with resolving plant issues

• Complete pre-start, commissioning, and decommissioning activities

• Maintain accurate and clear shift handovers

• Support in preparing safety documents

• Cover duties within the fuel and ash handling team as required

Ideal Candidate Profile

• Minimum 2 years’ experience in the power utility or heavy process industry

• Mechanical or electrical skills, with fault-finding capabilities

• Flexible, self-motivated, and a strong team player

• Comfortable working in a rotating shift system (24/7 operation)
